Within half an hour you can be on a beautiful sandy beach on the Crozon Peninsula or exploring the historical city of Quimper. Morlaix and the North coast is only 40 minutes. If walking in the hills is more your taste then a 15 minute drive will get you to the highest part of Brittany and the beautiful Mont D’Arree villages such as Huelgoat and Brasparts.
The nearest village is Lopérec, a beautiful traditional Breton village with a shop, restaurant and bars. As with most villages in this area the church boasts a splendid decorative tower.
In the other direction, Pont de Buis has a supermarket and range of shops, restaurants and bars.
The Nantes to Brest canal is an easy ten minutes drive away. This waterway provides miles of easy walking and cycling along the towpaths.
The roads are well maintained and generally very quiet even in the summer season so the whole experience is restful and relaxing.
Easy visits from our Gîtes include the beautiful riverside town of Chateaulin, the ancient village of Locronan, Chateauneuf du Faou. Chateauneuf du Faou is close to the unusual gothic style Chateaux of Trevarez with its beautiful Gardens, offering a worthwhile trip at any time of the year. The historic walled town in the port of Concarneau, The estuary town of Le Faou and the port of Camaret sur Mer are all within a comfortable journey and each show off the variety of places on offer in Finistère and Brittany.
