Cycling is one of the most popular pastimes in France, and Brittany provides some of the the most beautiful scenery of any region for people of all capabilities to enjoy.
Finistère has a wide variety of scenery from the hills of the Mont D’Arree region to the towpath of the Nantes Brest canal
Cycling from our property is hilly and suitable for intermediate to higher levels of fitness.
However, you don’t need to travel far to get to miles of easy cycling at lower levels and along the towpath along the Nantes Brest canal.
The roads are generally very quiet and well maintained so cycling is very relaxing. Even in the summer traffic levels mean that cycling in Brittany is enjoyable and safe.
We have secure storage where you can keep bikes when they are not in use.
If you haven’t got bike, or want to leave your own at home,there is a bike shop locally that hires them out, starting at €8 per day.
The local cycle club at Chateulin has regular club tours on Sundays and if you want to join in you will be very welcome. Veloce Club Chateaulinois.
Finistere has a wide selection of Mountain Bike circuits which are marked and maintained. They generally have three levels of difficulty, very easy, easy and difficult.
We are central to three key areas for mountain biking, The Mont D’Arree, Crozon Peninsula and Cournaille (Quimper) The various circuits they offer are only a 20 minute or so drive from us.
