Finistère is one of the most varied regions for walking in Brittany if not France.
The area boasts the highest hills in Brittany, wooded valleys, rivers, miles of coastal
paths and long flat sandy beaches. This gives walking opportunities for all capabilities.
From a stroll along the beach to a major day’s hiking.
There are many books and guides on the market to help you find the perfect walking
to suit your taste at any time of year. We provide a walking guide for the area in
the gite and we do have some maps available on request.
The spring gives rise to woodlands full of wild flowers. The summer is the ideal
time to experience all areas in full bloom and clear vistas from the hills.
The autumn tree colours and brilliant sunsets, followed by winter frosts provide
a beautiful backdrop for your Brittany holiday.
We can help you identify the perfect walking to suit your requirements. We are ten
minutes from the towpath of the Nantes Brest Canal, ten minutes from the hills of
the Mont D’Arree region and just half an hour from the coastal paths around the Crozon
Peninsula. All part of the diverse Finistère region
If we are available we are quite happy to collect you from a pre-arranged point and
return you to your car so you can complete a longer distance along the coast. There
will be a small charge for this service to cover costs.
Guests who have stayed here specifically for the walking have been amazed at the
variety on offer and the lack of other walkers and tourists in general.
If you haven’t considered Finistere for a walking holiday before, think again.
